I'm feeling the white background. However, the black background really pops as well. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

Excellent shot. I've always enjoyed the lights off with a beam of sunlight. It's just so peaceful.

Doing very well! I will take some true overhead pics tonight, but I just threw up a photo from this past weekend. Everything seems great, some mild green algae about 1" below the surface that i can see from the outside of the tank in places, I wonder if thats the ambient sunlight in the rest of the room? Not seeing much about that sort of underground algae around the forums.

Let’s hope it’s not cyano bacteria. That stuff is sort of a pain to eradicate. If it’s normal algae it will eventually die off after being smothered by the carpet

Stunning mate. I'm looking for a light for my 60F and the ONF Flat One is on the top of my list. What brightness setting are you running it at to avoid algae in such a shallow tank?

40-55% at most. Thing to note tho: in a power outage it comes back on at 100% this happened for an entire day once and rllt caused some badness. Other than that, i love it.

2 bps sounds about right for a 60f. Already looks carpeted from this view. Are you keeping a consistent water changing regime during the cycle?

My plan was daily for 2 weeks. It only holds 6.5g or so, pretty easy work with ‘primed’ tap water. Any reccos on the c02 timing? 1hr before on and off seem sane? Drop checker is light green already.

Push it to 3-4 weeks if you can, or at least through the potential diatom and ammonia cycle. Mine turn on no more than 30 min prior to the lighting and usually off when the lights turn off. 1 hour works, but I suppose it depends more on the co2 tank.

I’d flood it. Looks extremely healthy and rooted. Sometimes with a dry start you may catch some mold which is extremely difficult to eradicate. If you don’t have it and it’s this healthy...flood it!

The consultant is a potential feature for people to consult aquariums from the internet, or showcase an aquarium that you built for someone else. I’m not sure if it’s a needed feature at this point.

Wow thanks! FWIW I sort of thought the feature might be for that purpose, I would absolutely pay some credits or dollars for consultation. I think its a great feature idea that seems inevitable, pro help on forums and the like are worth time money. I will add the sand and flood it tomorrow! Thanks.

I have not used it, and I did every other day for the first 2 weeks and got alot of plant burn, so i stopped using it entirely. I know in my terrestrial plant world that liquid foliar sprays are dangerous during the daylight hours, so i figured perhaps my high light environment was causing evaporation and thus over concentration of its elements.

I am going to use it on some plants around the house, I am sure I can find a use for it somehow. Maybe on some terrestrial mosses or wabi kusa.
