ADA 90P CONCAVE AQUASCAPE

jwaquatics - 09/26/2018 08:08:43 PM - 2260 / 04 / 06 / 06

Description

This layout was inspired by an ADA aquascape. Horn wood rests on a carefully stacked wall of dragon stone in a concave position. Plants like anubias and bucephalandra are wedged between crevices in the rocks, and the background is planted with stem plants and cyperus helferi. After many trims, the stems will become a colorful bush.

Not one bit of algae. Really starting to perk up. Love it.

Everything is back on track! There are a few remaining diatoms, but they won’t last long once I get an algae crew in there.

Huge! I bought like 5 of them. Their roots have already reached the bottom of the tank

They get massive. I had some in my 60u and removed them. Don't feel they would have scaled well.

Nice to see the full resolution picture of your hardscape. It was always hard to see where and how the horn wood was placed. You've really created a nice scale with your 90p.

Thank you, means a lot. The wood pieces have shifted a bit after taking them out to tie moss and bumping them during maintenance. But yeah, I’m really happy with the hardscape. I haven’t spent this much time creating a hardscape layout with any of my past scapes; I’m glad I took my time with this one.

It's clear you put the time and effort into this one. Also, I really like the horizontal ohko stone stack. Unique use from what I've seen.
